A warm hello to our employers and learners

We have had a very busy year. Starting with a lockdown in January 2021, all staff working from home and learners being taught over Zoom yet again!!

However, we managed to seize the opportunity and move premises (Bourne Court) in March 2021 no mean feat in the middle of lockdown. We now have a fabulous workshop for our Electricians and 3 good sized training rooms.

Ian Duncan Smith officially opened our new premises in May 2021, he visited a few of our Electrical, Child Care and Business Admin learners.

Staff

Sadly in May we said goodbye to our Trustee Laurie Conley and his wife Gina Conley (accounts). They both retired from the Training Trust after giving over 30 years of service to the company. Laurie set up the Training Trust in 1983 and retired at 80 years old. The staff gave them a lovely send off.

Chris Hartlebury (Plumbing liaison Officer) also left in November, we wish him luck in his future career.

Sue Andrews was successfully promoted to Operations Supervisor and she is already proving to be an asset to the SMT.

2022

Let’s all hope that 2022 is a more positive year regarding the Pandemic and that we can all get back to normality, the holidays abroad are beckoning 😊.

We are awaiting the result of our application for the Register of Apprenticeship Training Providers. Please wish us luck.
