MAINTENANCE OPERATIONS

LEVEL 2 APPRENTICESHIP IN MAINTENANCE OPERATIONS
The course covers the understanding and application of the following:
- Conforming to general health, safety and welfare in the workplace
- Use of PPE on a daily basis and when special PPE is required
- Workplace safety legislation and who is responsible
- Manual handling
- Security and emergency procedures
- Various ways of communication at work
- Delivering reliable customer service
Course Content:
- Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Maintenance Operations (Construction) QCF
- Level 1 Functional Skills in English and Maths at Level 1 – (exemption if you hold GCSE grade 3 or above)
Options available to fit with a wide range of work types:
- Erecting and dismantling work platforms
- Establishing work area protection
- Clearing the work site and handing over on completion
- Hanging standard wall coverings
- Preparation of background wall surfaces for different types of decoration
- Application of different paint systems
- Installing drainage
- Tiling (wall and floor)
- Floor screeds and basic floor coverings
- Non-structural carpentry
- Gate post and fencing work
- Window and door glazing
